Twelve teams will consist of the 1st, 2nd and the best two team of the 3rd place of each league.

The 1st group will be:

1st of the Northern region

1st of the Central and Eastern region

2nd of the Southern region

2nd of Northeastern region

2nd of Bangkok Metropolitan region

The best of the 3rd place

Total 6 teams

The 2nd group will be:

2nd of the Northern region

2nd of the Central and Eastern region

1st of the Southern region

1st of Northeastern region

1st of Bangkok Metropolitan region

The second best of the 3rd place

Total 6 teams

- The league will play home and away matches. The 1st and 2nd of each league will be promoted to Division 1



New stadium for Khon Kaen

Khon Kaen may have a new stadium for their football club, who are in the race for promotion to the Thai Premier League next season. The government are considering spending 103 million baht on upgrading the sporting complex which would include the main stadium.

1. Newcastle, Savilla is cancelled.


Attachai Buragumkowit, Secretary General of Tourism and Sport ministry said that Newcastle, Savilla, which earlier set to play at Rajamangala stadium end of July is cancelled even though two teams have confirmed to visit Thailand.


Mr.Attachai said that the management level orders the cancellation of the project because of its financial situation.


2. Valci Junior to wear No.30 for TTM Pichit


3. Chawalit Rampoeypak of Chumporn FC, Division 2 is banned for the season after grabbing referee’s neck. The coach is also banned for 2 matches and the stadium is banned for 1 match after the incident.

Div 1 - Chiang Rai United sign Edvaldo

Newly promoted Chiang Rai United have signed star player Edvaldo. The Brazilian 36 year old has a key figure to Thai Ports success in the FA Cup last year and is expected to boost the northern clubs season as they are currently sitting mid table. Chiang Rai United have also signed Manit, Filipe and Ogawa.


Muang Thong United - Byrne, Georgi to replace Yaya and Sylla?

After Muang Thong United released Yaya to Belguim and Sylla to Bangkok Glass the Nonthumburi team are looking for replacements for their stars. Ronarut has admitted that the loss of the two star players leaves a gap in the squad and said the club are considering other foreign talent in the league, namely Byrne of Chonburi and Georgi of TOT Cat.
